The whole family (plus Sara Rankin) went to Joy's high school graduation from Conestoga Valley, at Calvary Church. We got pictures with her and pictures of her walking and with her friends. 24 Candles

Dear Sarah, Happy Birthday to you!

Every year on Sarah's birthday we celebrate with cake, presents, prayer, memories, encouragement and a song. This year once again the family gathered to celebrate her birthday and sing the song, "This Little Light of Mine" that, for me has become the anthem song for my oldest girl. We are blessed to still have both sets of her grandparents with us and here to celebrate Sarah's birthday.

Our chalk board is decorated, as usual, for the party. Margaret wrote this one.

Granddaddy Sensenig is reading his poem to Sarah.
Praying for our girl.

Valentine's Day!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day today! When I got home from basketball practice, my Mom, Dad and I had a nice Valentine's Day supper. Which my mom made! (Every one else was away!) I gave them gifts, and we ate the cake I decorated at Julia Pritchard's Valentine's party on Sunday. (I had tons of fun, Julia! Thank you so much!) So, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day too!

Joy turns 18!

We celebrated Joy's 18th birthday today. It's so amazing to have 4 of our 5 children in their adult years. We spent some time telling stories and praying for Joy.

Christmas Morning at My House- Poem

Here is a poem i wrote for school. (With some help form Erin and my Mom.)

Christmas Morning at My House
By: Margaret Sensenig
2010

Morning comes; I jump out of bed
And run down the hall
To see the little manger scene.
The babe and the stall.

Ding Dong! We sing to our neighbors,
Whom we love to meet.
“We wish you a Merry Christmas,”
We give them a treat.

We give gifts to one another
With joyful faces.
Smiling with holiday cheer
We say our graces.

To end this magnificent day
We relax ‘til night.
Enjoying the gift of God’s love,
We turn off the light.

Oh Christmas Tree and Our Family

This past weekend we finally found a day that all our kids would be together so we could go get our Christmas tree. (It was Saturday on the way to my parents’ home for our Christmas with the Sensenig clan) So we left for Esbanshades in Lititz for our tree. This year we had a gift card for the store so we could get a better tree than normal. We chose our tree in record time because of the budget freedom and the fact that they only had about a dozen trees left. So we got our tree and had a great time walking around admiring the Christmas decorations in the store. Afterward we arrived at my parents’ home for an excellent Christmas celebration. We ate, slept, played games, slept, eat, talked and laughed… We stayed late and enjoyed what is probably the last Christmas ever at my childhood home on Pine Hill Rd.

We set our tree up in our living room Sunday afternoon and over the next day or two got the decorations on. (I think we might be done decorating at this writing) Since we celebrate the larger Sensenig Christmas the Saturday before Christmas we have a very long celebration season this year. It seems we just got done with it and yet we still look forward to it next Saturday. Fun!
Below are a few pictures from our day.
