Congrats Joy!

Yippee!!!! Joy finally Graduated on June 7th 2011! (Which happened to be my last day of school!) The whole family (plus Sara Rankin) went to Joy's high school graduation from Conestoga Valley, at Calvary Church. We got pictures with her and pictures of her walking and with her friends. Then when we got home we celebrated with cake and ice cream! Congrats Joy! Here are some pictures taken by Geoff Sensenig (Daddy!)

On Saturday, May 28^th 2011, Sarah, Erin, Joy and Vinson Sensenig left Pennsylvania to go to NEXT in Florida, with Karla (mom) taking them to the airport in Philly. Meanwhile, Margaret and Geoff Sensenig went to Gettysburg and Margaret was in a soccer tournament with CV Lanco. They had three mini games, which contained of twenty minutes each, to find out their seating. CV won all these games. And this put CV Lanco in 1^st place in their division. Then they played a longer game of twenty minutes per half, and CV also won that game. Then after their victory they went home, and Margaret went to her friend, Julia Pritchard’s house to celebrate her 13th birthday. There they had dinner, then played games and then finally watch “Monk”. Then Margaret went home and went to sleep.

On Sunday, May 29^th, 2011 Karla, Geoff and Margaret Sensenig went to Gettysburg again to finish Margaret’s soccer tournament. The first game was at 8:00am. CV Lanco lost their first game of the day, 0-3. Then they won their second game 2-1. And CV Lanco got 5^th Place.

Since Margaret was reading the book, “Ella Enchanted” on their way home they picked up the movie, “Ella Enchanted” from Blockbuster. When they got home they watched it. “I just watched "Ella Enchanted" But I must say the book is ten times better then the movie.” – Margaret Sensenig. Then they relaxed and went to bed.

On Monday, May 30^th, 2011 was Memorial Day, so Margaret didn’t have school, so she went to work with her dad, and help him install bathroom cabinets in the Ovalle’s bathroom. This was with Sensenig Woodworking. Then after they finished that they went home. And then after they got ready to leave, they went to Penn Cinema and watched “Pirates of the Caribbean 4, On Stranger Tides”. Then when they came home Margaret went to the Millen’s house because they got their two Golden Retriever puppies. Their names were Willow, and Serena. Then after playing with the puppies, Margaret went home and her mom and her watched girl’s soccer on ESPN 360.

May 31^st, 2011

On Tuesday May 31^st, 2011 Margaret went to school at Dayspring Christian Academy. And had a party in Latin class, and they had snacks. Then in Bible class they made Welcome cards for the new people joining their class next year. Then Margaret got home at about 3:15, and went to her Grandparent’s house (Landis). And Margaret played with Kody and trained him a little. Then they came home and Margaret wrote this paper.

Now I am hoping to get my individual soccer pictures for my Dayspring Memory Mate, and one for the 3v3. Then I want to run later. (And I finished all of this!)

Joys Senior Prom

This year Joy is graduating from Conestoga Valley High School. She is our fourth child to survive 12 years of school. Graduation is on June 7. Joy attended her High School Prom, escorted by Nathanial Millen. She looked wonderful and they both had a great time. Congratulations to Joy on her graduation!

Dayspring 7th Grade Creation Trip 2011

7^th grade at my school went on a field trip. It’s called the Creation Trip. First we went to the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh (which is based on evolution), and then we went to the Creation Museum in Kentucky. And we kind of like compared them to each other. And we stayed in two hotels. It was rally fun. The one had a swimming pool and a hot tub, but the pool was hotter then the hot tub. And the swimming pool was so hot you could see the steam on it! I think it wasn’t supposed to be like that! J It was fun anyway! Then on the way home we stopped at the Flight 93 Memorial. It was really tiring! We were in the bus for most of the time. It was so fun!

Margaret has enjoyed her role as a tree in the play, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It was fun being part of a fun school project. As promised I have uploaded some pictures of her and also a bonus, the slideshow we made of the play. Enjoy!

This year at school Margaret is in the play "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". I went to one of her practices last week and took some pictures. She is a tree and has no spoken parts but, in my opinion, the play just wouldn't be complete without her part! :) Since I only stayed for an hour I did not get any pictures of her on stage but will take care of that on the night of the play, so keep posted for that. I really like taking these type of pictures. It is a challeng getting good shots in the lighting and rewarding when a couple turn out nicely. Congratulations Vince!

Saturday we had a celebration for Vinson's Graduation from Millersville University. He graduated this past December with a B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing and a B.A. in Economics. He also was inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honor Society for Economics. He managed to complete all this in 3. 5 years! We had two parties in one. The earlier was for families and the latter was for the rest of his friends. Needless to say the house was packed from 4 PM till 1 AM. We enjoyed food fellowship, and a time to roast, encourage, and pray for Vinson. It was a full day and we all enjoyed the celebration. Congratulations Vince!

Vinson has graduated!

On December 19th Vinson graduated from Millersville University. He has a B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing and a B.A. in Economics. He was inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honor Society for Economics. Vinson plans to enter the Real Estate industry.

Morning comes; I jump out of bed

And run down the hall

To see the little manger scene.

The babe and the stall.

Ding Dong! We sing to our neighbors,

Whom we love to meet.

“We wish you a Merry Christmas,”

We give them a treat.

We give gifts to one another

With joyful faces.

Smiling with holiday cheer

We say our graces.

To end this magnificent day

We relax ‘til night.

Enjoying the gift of God’s love,

We turn off the light.

Erin Graduates

Erin's Graduation

Today we all went to Harrisburg for Erin's graduation from PA Cyber School. He decided not to "walk" with his class. He received his diploma in the hallway and we had a photo shoot with the kids in a lawn nearby. Afterwards we went out for a late lunch, Chinese buffet is Erin's favorite, to celebrate and then home. Congratulations Erin!

struggles and triumphs in reading

Tonight at the dinner table (just Dad and the girls) we listened to a record that had Mom's high school choir from LMH. They sang a song called Hospodi Pomilul (Russian?). You should have heard Mom and Joy trying to pronounce that!

While on the topic of pronunciation, reading and such, our conversation drifted to how far Vinson has come with his learning disability (dyslexia) since elementary school. Nobody would really even know he had/has it; he is quite the reader today. My mom and Vinson both went through so much for so many years of his schooling, and it's amazing to see how far God has taken him. Mom commented on how she never would have believed that he would be in college and awarded with a spot in The International Economics Honor Society (Omicron Delta Epsilon). I seriously had forgotten about those home school days of prolonged excruciating labor that Vinson and Mom would go through, and it was so cool how she brought it up. It really does show God's powerful grace.

Crazy Dress Day!

A couple weeks ago, my school (J. E. Fritz) had a crazy dress day! It was a fun day because not only did we dress up weird, but 6th grade got to watch the movie Up. And I must give my sister Joy a spacial thanks for helping me pix out the outfit. Here are some pictures (that my Mom took) of what I wore to school that day.

Victorious!

Here is a narrative I wrote fro school in September (this is only the draft, so it is not the same as the real one. And some of the words might be missed spelled.):
“Shoot!” We had to win! No offence to my team or anything, but I thought our chances of winning were 2 out of 10! In my mind my soccer team and I were absolutely terrible! There was no way we were going to win the U10 soccer tournament. Even 3^rd place would be nice! This 2007 soccer year was not going good at all. So how could I expect this to be good? We had no chance. But something happened that proved me wrong.

This was our first tournament we were competing in, and we were losing badly. It was a bad start of a 3 game tournament. We were being crushed! I couldn’t stand it any longer when the referee blew his ear-piercing whistle. Game over. We lost our first game of torture.

A couple hours later we were starting our 2^nd game. I was hoping we would be able to do a lot better this time. It turned out to be tons better. We were winning! Now hope sprung through me. Victory! Only one game left and we could steal 2^nd place! But we would have to wait. Our next game was tomorrow. How could I wait? But it would be nice to get out of my stinky blue shirt and red pants.

The next day finally came! I could hardly wait to find the outcome of our next game. “Be aggressive, be-e aggressive,” the whole team shouted as we had our hands in the middle of a circle and throw them in the air, “Storm!” We ran out on to the field, proud to be part of CV U10 Lanco team, and to have a name that meant destruction, (Storm.) My heart pounded, sweat slid down my checks, butterflies flew in my stomach. Everything went so fast. By the end of the first half it was tie 0 to 0.

We somehow managed to get a goal and win! At the end we all moved so the next team could play. Our coach said,” I have great news, girls! Your hard work paid off! You got second place!”We went over to a table and told them that we won and all the details. We got trophies and pictures taken by my dad.

I’d say this was my best soccer experience ever. We actually turned out to be a pretty good team. I owe a big apology to my team for not believing in them. I had the best team ever!

Fritz Concert

Today my school had a concert. There was a Beginner Orchestra, 4th Grade Orchestra, 5th & 6th grade Orchestra, 4th Grade Band, 5th & 6th grade Band, Orff and Drum Ensemble, 5th grade chorus, and 6th grade chorus. I only participated in the 6th grade chorus. We sang 4 songs, Ready, Set, Christmas!, Do You Hear What I hear?, Carol of the Bells, and A Canine Concerto.

It was fun to sing in front of tons of people.

Wisdom Teeth

Joy had her 4 wisdom teeth removed on Thursday morning. She's healing, but slowly. You can pray that she wouldn't have complications, and that her stitches would dissolve as they are supposed to, or at least be able to be removed without trouble. She had trouble with stitches not dissolving in a past surgery.

She will probably stay home from school again tomorrow. Poor girl has got cabin fever, on top of physical discomfort! You can pray that she'll be feeling much better soon, especially for Thanksgiving and that she wouldn't be overwhelmed with making up school work once she is back at it.

HACC Days....Again

This is my second day at HACC this semester. I am sort of looking forward to having a routine again, but at the same time I am sort of dreading the work load. I am still gathering my supplies for my classes. My Micro Biology book has still not arrived yet, and I have the first 2 hour and forty minute class this afternoon. I am looking forward to hanging out with Liz Wenger and possibly Laura Wenger, Zach Millen, Catherine Davis, and Alyssa Driedger.

Yesterday Catherine had called to see if I had any books that she could use for her English Comp 1 class. While talking about it we found out that she is having the same professor that I had for that class and that I did have a book that she could use. After our conversation I looked for the book that I said I had, and I could not find it. I was a little frantic because I told Catherine that I would bring it today and I knew I still had it somewhere but I just could not find it anywhere. After coming home from work that evening and watching two episodes of the BBC series Cranford, that we borrowed from the Borghis, with my family, I found the book wrapped under a blanket in my room. I was thoroughly relieved and grateful to God for allowing me to find the book. I am now at the HACC library after my Pre Calc class waiting for Catherine to come so I can give her the book that I had promised to lend her.

A little while ago Sarah had said that I should write something on the blog. I replied that I would when I had something to write about. I now realize that you can write about anything, It does not have to be a big thing that happened, it can be small every day occurrences. I now think that I may actually write a good amount of post during the school year, for I am stuck at HACC for a long period of time in which I will have time to spare. Well I guess I will stop writing now because I am stating to ramble, or at least I feel as though I am rambling. I just had the thought that I am so glad that mom made me practice typing, because I would not be able to write such a post when my mind went ten times faster than the speed of my fingers. Thanks mom! :)
