Let's see if we can give this family blog thing a try. . .
Our family vacation started this past Friday, and goes until this coming Sunday. This year we are staying at the "Ark," Karla's brother's mobile home on the Agape farm in Mt. Union PA. With Sarah and Vinson's differing work schedules, we will be missing either one or the other during the week (Sarah) or weekend (Vinson). Even with our family growing older, and the increasing difficulty in scheduling, our family vacation is a highlight of our summer.
Here are a few photos from this past weekend.
Our tub of fun!
Badminton and Quakes behind the Ark.
I like this fun action shot that Dad took of Joy!
We brought Kallie along, and she had much fun exploring the first day (although we were afraid to let her wonder off too far on her own).
A view from Dad and Sarah's walk (in F field during the Creation Festival). A family tradition each year is for Dad to go on a walk with each child one day of the vacation. We walk and talk, and enjoy the view! I'll post some more photos from our walk . . .
Although the outhouses may be painted pretty, they still smell bad!
Sarah came up for the first weekend (Friday night to Sunday morning). She will be staying with Karla's parents' during the week, so she doesn't have to spend the week alone in an empty house. They live just 2 miles up the road from our place.
Joy working on her blanket. She already has knitted a blue one just like this, and has threatened to take it away from our family's general use, because we use it so much it may soon wear out!
Playing a card game of Margaret's choice, and just having some plain good 'ol fun being together. :-)
We left the Ark at 7:30 on Sunday morning so we could be at church, the picnic, and most of all Erin's baptism! We swapped Sarah for Vinson and are heading into a full week of family vacation, ending with the Minich family and Sarah joining us this next weekend.
