Early Easter
Our family enjoys making Easter eggs and hunting for them at Grandma Landis’. We have done this for 23 years. This year we celebrated Easter a week early because Aunt Cheryl was home from Charlotte NC. The memories of our young children searching for and finding cleverly hidden Easter treasures will always bring a smile to my face. Although the kids are older now they still enjoy the day. Decorating and coloring the eggs then waiting while the parents hide them before going out to hunt for the treasures. Somehow the ones with quarters in them seem to have become more valuable now than 15 years ago…! We still have the challenge of keeping the dog from getting to the treats before the kids find them. This year Grandpa Landis has a new toy. His Zero Turn Radius Mower. Joy was taking a test drive. I think she was having fun… Grandma and Grandpa Landis always make Christ’s death and resurrection an important part of the day. Because of His perfect sacrifice we can stand clean before the Lord! Thank you for the Cross!
